“God, We Need You Here” (Original Song)

An original Christian song discussing the times that we live in now. God, we need you now more than ever.

[Verse 1] Headlines on the table Fear flickers in the phone light Arguing in comment lines But nobody’s really alright Sirens on the highway Neighbors pull their curtains tight Feels like every prayer we pray Gets lost in the noise of the night [Pre-Chorus] But I remember what You promised You are near to the broken and the small So I lift these shaking hands up ’Cause I can’t fix this at all [Chorus] God We need You here In the middle of the chaos In the middle of the fear Jesus Draw us near Be the mercy that we run to Be the voice we hear We can’t save ourselves We’ve tried for all these years God We need You God We need You here [Verse 2] Kids are growing anxious Hearts heavy before they’re grown Scrolling through the darkness Trying to numb the ache alone We trade truth for comfort Call it freedom Call it choice But deep inside the quiet There’s a hunger for Your voice [Pre-Chorus] So we’re coming with our questions All the anger All the shame If there’s healing in Your presence Won’t You meet us in this place [Chorus] [Bridge] Heal what’s hidden in the silence Break the patterns we repeat Turn our anger into kindness Make our strength fall to its knees You are steady in the shaking You are peace when war is near You are hope that won’t stop chasing We are listening We’re right here
